Tackling Collective Occupational Trauma: Post Pandemic and Beyond

Abstract:

Working in health and behavioral health care can prompt daily and escalating feelings of powerlessness, with managing stress and burnout longstanding issues for professionals. The recent pandemic has put the workforce at risk of trauma on steroids: vicarious, if not collective trauma. Practitioners and their patients are amid shared experiences of loss, fear, and vulnerability to the virus’s ongoing impact, with dramatic implications for the Quadruple Aim. Engage in this unique session to advance your ability to identify and tackle collective trauma, both individually and with your colleagues.
