NCSEA's Newest Committee: SE3's Mission and How Your SEA Can Benefit
Presented by Nick Sherrow-Groves, PE and Angie Sommer, SE, co-chairs of the SE3 Committee
The Structural Engineering Engagement and Equity (SE3) Committee is focused on understanding the professional experiences of engineers around the country. Their mission is to ensure that every structural engineering professional has a positive experience within the profession.
To do so, the committee has the following objectives:
The first edition of this survey was conducted by the SEAONC SE3 Committee in 2016, and has gained the SE3 Project national attention. The data from this survey has been presented at over a dozen conference and events across the country in 2016 and 2017, and the SE3 Committee has expanded to the national level through NCSEA.
In this webinar the current chairs of the NCSEA SE3 Committee will discuss the history of the committee and a brief overview of the results from the 2016 survey.
Looking forward, the chairs will also present on the outline of the 2018 survey, how the data from both surveys can help MO’s learn about their members, and how member organizations can use the committee’s resource guide to bring SE3 to their own local community.
This is a FREE event for NCSEA SEA Leadership and SEA Members.
