    Responsible for planning the annual training conference. This includes developing educational tracks, designing the conference program, planning networking opportunities, and securing keynote speakers and trainers.

  • Budget & Finance Committee
    Monitors the Association’s financial assets and recommends policies and fiscal planning measures that ensure the financial health and stability of the Association, including identifying and ensuring organizational compliance with sound financial management, records retention systems, and methodologies.
  • CGMS Commission
    The Certified Grants Management Specialist (CGMS) Commission comprises five Members, two of whom are appointed by a majority vote of the Board. The CGMS Commission has responsibility for all matters related to certification and has complete decision-making autonomy from the Board for all matters related to the CGMS certification. The CGMS Commission follows principles of governance and operations as defined in a policy and procedure manual that is grounded in law and accreditation standards for certification programs.
  • CGMS Committee
    Fosters the development and advancement of the Certified Grants Management Specialist professional credential.
  • Education Committee
    Responsible for advancing the knowledge of grants management professionals through educational activities, programs and networking opportunities.
  • GMBoK Committee
    Works to develop and offer training to support the Certified Grants Management Specialist (CGMS) professional credentialing program and exam.
  • Grants Guidance Committee
    Oversees the development and production of printed and electronic publications that facilitates communication among NGMA members and the grants administration industry at-large.
  • Membership Committee
    Identifies and executes initiatives to grow NGMA’s membership in all grant market segments (federal, state, local and tribal governments; nonprofit organizations; institutions of higher education; community groups; allied private organizations), through individual and group memberships (including strategic partnerships with allied national organizations).
  • NGMA Peer Review Committee
    Peer review of bi-annual NGMA Journal of Grants Management articles is central to the quality of published industry literature. The NGMA Peer Review Board provides their time and expertise by reading and evaluating all Journal submissions.
  • Publications Committee
    Responsible for overseeing the development and production of printed and electronic publications of the association that facilitates communication among NGMA members and the grants administration industry at-large. Committee responsibilities include producing a bi-monthly association membership E-newsletter, production or publication of grants management guidelines, documents, or industry “Best Practices,” provides content as necessary for the NGMA website, and provides publication and editorial support to the NGMA bi-annual Journal.
  • Technology Committee
    Responsibilities include providing oversight of technology that helps make the NGMA more efficient, and helps NGMA leverage the use of technology to deliver services and information to members.
