NJ Burglar Alarm License holders are required to take a Residential Fire Alarm Class on Smoke Detection Systems for triennial license renewal.  This required class covers the various smoke and fire detection technologies and their application.  In addition, the course discusses system design, code requirements, best installation/service practices, and testing/inspection requirements.
