You gave your input and we listened! As a result, changes are coming to OANO’s Standards for Excellence clinic series.

· You told us it was hard to find time to commit to four clinics.
We have altered the education so it can be completed in two clinics.

· You told us the cost for four clinics was too expensive.
We have decreased the cost by 50% (Member cost is now $250)

· You told us you wanted clinics offered in more than one location.
To date, we have three locations scheduled for 2013 (Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati).

We invite you to mark your calendar now to participate in OANO’s Standards for Excellence training in 2013. When an organization adopts OANO’s Standards for Excellence it is:
· Demonstrating program performance to funders
· Instilling client confidence
· Exhibiting quality services to volunteers

The Standards for Excellence are intended to describe how the most well managed and responsibly governed organizations should and do operate. During these educational clinics, OANO will address eight guiding principles, along with 58 Standards in nonprofit management. Areas that are covered include: Mission and Program; Governing Body; Conflict of Interest; Human Resources; Financial and Legal; Public Accountability; Fundraising; and Public Affairs and Public Policy.

Clinics will include presentations, resource materials to assist in implementing best practices; and a guest speaker. Lunch will also be provided. Up to three people from an organization may attend for one registration price ($250).

At the end of the clinics, organizations wishing to take the Standards for Excellence to the next level and pursue certification will have a firm understanding of the required materials for the certification application.
