Tax Appeals Decision Benefits Cincinnati & Other Departments

A long-awaited decision this week by the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals has been decided in favor of the Cincinnati Recreation Commission, and could have impacts on other Ohio Departments.

The state had sought property tax payments from the city for six city owned golf courses which were operated through a management contract by Billy Casper Golf.  The Board ruled that the city did not owe property tax payments for the courses, because the property continues to used for a public purpose.
