Data is often seen as the quickest way to drive innovation, increase productivity and gain a competitive advantage.  While all of that is true, without a sound strategy, data collection and measurement can also paralyze staff, waste time and cause leaders to make poor decisions.  Learn how to get staff on board and ensure that you are measuring what matters and then practice working with real tools that you can use back at your agency to get a jump start on your own data-driven efforts.

Bobbi Nance, CPRP, is Senior Manager of Strategy and Innovation for the Park District of Oak Park in Oak Park, Illinois.  In this role, she is responsible for oversight of the agency’s comprehensive and strategic plans and serves as a catalyst for agency innovation to enhance its ability to perform at a high level of efficiency and effectiveness.  She is passionate about tackling new challenges, seeking out best practices and using data to achieve strategic goals, drive revenue and increase customer satisfaction.  A member of the Board of Regents of the NRPA Revenue Development and Management School, Bobbi is a frequent speaker at state parks and recreation conferences and NRPA and she serves as a CAPRA Accreditation Visitor.  She is also a member of Emerging Local Government Leaders and the Alliance for Innovation.
