Many Ohio parks and recreation agencies are funded by levies - voter approved taxes which support the operation of all or part of the agency budget.  While levies are relatively common in park districts, more and more municipal parks and recreation departments are finding that levies provide a stable source of funding, and are turning to levies to support their programs.  Still others are being asked to assist in the levy process for their communities, a process that often results in additional parks and recreation funding.

In this workshop, Brian Bruggeman of The Bruggeman Group will take you through the levy process from start to finish, beginning with the legal aspects of levies all the way through what you do when the levy has passed.  This session will be invaluable for those who work in levy funded agencies or for those contemplating levies in the future.
