Making it out of the grocery store with enough of the right foods (and not too many of the wrong ones) continues to be one of the biggest barriers consumers face when trying to eat right and feed their families well. As choices multiply and food retailers become ever more sophisticated, it’s no longer enough to simply advise people to “shop the perimeter.”

Session attendees will leave with tools and strategies that their clients can use to:

  • Shop smarter (and less often)
  • Stock a healthy pantry
  • Reduce wasted food
  • Eat healthier for less money
  • Find the best packaged and prepared options

Learning Objectives:

  • Help clients make healthier and more economical choices at grocery store
  • Assist clients with meal planning strategies
  • Help clients better use nutrition facts and front of package labeling
