Mindful Eating and Living
Tuesday, August  28 @ 12:00 PM EST

Mindful eating is so much more than paying attention to portion sizes. When practiced on a regular basis, it can lead to a healthier relationship with food, physical activity, and stress management. Julia will share her personal experience of being a SNAP recipient, as well as how using mindfulness improved her health and inspired her to become a dietitian. She will also share tips on how to incorporate mindfulness into your discussion with your clients and participants. 

Learning Objectives

  • Define the concept of mindfulness
  • Describe the principles of mindful eating
  • Understand how mindfulness can apply to other areas, such as physical fitness and stress management
