Event Description

Supporting Healthy Behaviors When the Budget is Tight

Recording from January 30, 2020

There is no time like the present to lay down plans for food and financial stability. When your client’s budgets are tight and food prices are rising, they could use some innovative ways to buy, prepare and eat healthy without breaking the bank. During this webinar, you’ll begin to understand why a food budget can be insurance against being hungry at the end of the month, gain some budget-friendly recipes for every household to enjoy, build your clients’ confidence to prepare nutritious food when time and money are limited, and gather invaluable resources for yourself and your clients. We truly want every participant to believe it when they say, “Yes! Anyone can eat healthy on the cheap!”

Learning Objectives:
  • 2 barriers that may prevent people from purchasing nutritious foods.
  • 2 ways to encourage people to choose budget-friendly meals.
  • 2 strategies to make sure meals come together quickly, cheaply and healthily.
