The 40th Annual Wellness and Recovery Summit will take place at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. PRA/PRF has secured a discounted room rate of $185, plus applicable taxes and fees. The discounted room rate is available until June 1, 2017 or until the room block is filled. The Hyatt Regency Atlanta is conveniently located 11 miles from Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. Taxi service is available for approximately $30.00 in each direction. SuperShuttle service is available to shuttle to and from the Hyatt Regency Atlanta 24 hours a day at a rate of $16.50 in each direction, $33.00 round trip per person. Please visit the SuperShuttle customer service booth at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport upon arrival or book ahead of time on their website.

CPRP Prep Courses

 

PLEASE NOTE;  The CPRP Prep Courses begin on FRIDAY, JUNE 23rd at 10:00AM.

 

The CPRP Prep Courses are the best way to prepare for the CPRP exam and gain a thorough understanding of psychiatric rehabilitation. The courses provide an overview of the development of the credentials, comprehensive training in each of the seven domains that comprise the practice of psychiatric rehabilitation, the application of the Practitioner Code of Ethics to everyday practice, and study skills as you complete your study for the exam. 

 

The CPRP Prep Course is not included in the cost of your Summit registration and requires pre-registration and an additional $95 fee to attend. In order to attend the CPRP Prep Course, you must also register for the FULL Summit.​

 

Pre-Conference Institute: Transition-Age Youth (TAY)

 

On Saturday, June 24th from 8:00AM - 11:00AM; a Pre-Conference Institute offering 3 continuing education hours on Topics in Transition-Age Youth (TAY) titled “Emerging Practices for Emerging Adults”  will be offered by Wayne Munchel, LCSW. 

 

PLEASE NOTE: This session is not included in the cost of your Summit registration and requires pre-registration to attend. The TAY Institute costs an additional $75.00 in addition to your Summit registration. In order to attend the TAY Institute, you must also be registered for the FULL Summit.

 

Workshop Materials / Conference App

 

The Wellness and Recovery Summit is focused on giving back by going green. In an effort to reduce the environmental impact of the Summit, we have launched an app to provide you with the most up-to-date information on sessions, speakers, special events, and provide handouts for registrants.  To download the app, simply search for Recovery Summit on the App Store (iOS devices) or Google Play Store (Android Devices).  Windows Phone devices will need to download the Google Play Store app in order to download the Android version.

Continuing Education
 

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Foundation, through the Academy of Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Recovery, is proud to offer continuing education across multiple specialties at the 2017 Wellness and Recovery Summit.  For detailed information about each individual session, including the types of credit available for participation in each, learning objectives, outline, and speaker information, please refer to our schedule at http://bit.ly/Summit2017CE Please see the sections below for detailed requirements, as well as information regarding the types and amounts of credit available at the Summit.

 
Attendance Verification and Evaluation Requirements
 
Upon check-in at registration, you will be given a badge with a QR code printed on it.  Room monitors stationed at the entrance of each session at the Summit will scan your badge as you enter the room to verify your attendance.  If you enter late or leave early, the CE credit received for your participation in the session may be reduced or eliminated, depending on the requirements of the approving organization.  To ensure that you receive CE credit for each of the sessions you attend, be sure to have the room monitor scan your badge upon entering each session.  Badges will only be "scanned out" if you leave early; all that remain in the room at the conclusion of the session will be documented as having stayed through the end.
 
At the end of each day, you will be emailed a link to a daily evaluation - and at the end of the conference, you will be emailed a link to a general evaluation.  Links to these evaluations will also be made accessible through the 2017 Recovery Summit mobile app, as well as on this webpage.
 
You must complete the evaluation for each session you attended, as well as the overall conference evaluation, no later than July 15th in order to receive CE credit for your participation at the Summit.  After July 15th, PRA/PRF Staff will cross-reference evaluation submissions with attendance records to verify compliance with these policies, and will email the respective CE Certificate(s) you require by the end of July.  Please refrain from inquiry regarding the status of your certificate until August.  For more information, please email info@psychrehabassociation.org.
 
CE Credit Types Available at the 2017 Summit

American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Foundation (PRA) is an AOTA Approved Provider (#6975) of continuing education.  A maximum of 1.8 AOTA CEUs (equivalent to 18.0 clock hours) may be earned at the 2017 Wellness and Recovery Summit.  The assignment of AOTA CEUs does not imply endorsement of specific course content, products, or clinical procedures by AOTA.

American Psychological Association (APA)*

Drexel University College of Medicine, Behavioral Healthcare Education is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Drexel University College of Medicine, Behavioral Healthcare Education maintains responsibility for the program and its content. This program is being offered for up to 18.0 hours of continuing education.

*Please note:  Individuals wishing to receive a certificate specifically for APA credit will need to submit an additional $35 fee following the Summit.  Those indicating a need for APA credits on their general evaluation will be provided information on how to make payment for the APA certificate.

Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB)

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Foundation (PRF), provider #1170, is approved as a provider of social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB – www.aswb.org) through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) Program.  PRF maintains responsibility for 2017 Wellness and Recovery Summit (ASWB Approval Period: 5/25/2015 – 5/25/2018).  Social workers should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval for continuing education credits. Social workers participating in this conference will receive up to 18.0 continuing education clock hours.

Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC)

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Foundation (PRF) has submitted the 2017 Wellness and Recovery Summit to the CRCC for approval.  The application is still pending approval, and more information will be posted here once approval has been received.

National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC)

This course has been approved by Psychiatric Rehabilitation Foundation ​(PRF), as a NAADAC Approved Education Provider, for up to 14.0 CE.  NAADAC Provider #100174, PRF is responsible for all aspects of their programming.
 

 

National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC)

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Foundation (PRF) has been approved by the NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6340.  Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified.  PRF is solely responsible for all aspects of the 2017 Wellness and Recovery Summit.  This program is approved for up to 16.0 clock hours.
 
PRF is happy to provide NBCC-approved continuing education to professional counselors who are NCCs, LPCs, LNHCs, LCPCs - as well as other state credentialed counselor titles (please check with your state regulations and/or boards to determine course approval).
 

Child and Family Resiliency Practitioner (CFRP)

Courses offered meet the continuing education requirements for the Certification of Child and Family Resiliency Practitioners (CFRP).  If you are not yet a CFRP, but plan to apply for the certification, sessions attended at the conference may be used to meet your education requirements.

Certification of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioners (CPRP)

Courses offered meet the continuing education requirements for the Certification of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioners (CPRP).  If you are not yet a CPRP, but plan to apply for the certification, sessions attended at the conference may be used to meet your education requirements.
 
 
Registration Payment and Refund Policy

 

Payment: The registration payment for attendance to any portion of the Summit must be made in full before an attendee may attend any workshops, prep courses, or Summit functions. All payments must be made at the time of registration. Online registration will be available through 11:59PM EST on June 12, 2017. Payments after this time must be received in full onsite and are subject to a $50.00 late fee. 

 

Refunds/Cancelations: Cancelation and refund requests received by 11:59PM EST on May 1, 2017 will be honored, but will incur a $75.00 processing fee. Refund requests received after May 1, 2017 and between 11:59PM EST on May 15, 2017 will incur a $125.00 processing fee. No refunds will be distributed for requests made after May 15, 2017. Refund payments may take up to six weeks for processing from the date of the refund request.

 

Transfer/Substitution of Registration: Should you be unable to attend the Summit, your registration may be transferred in its entirety to another individual. A full Summit registration may NOT be shared by multiple individuals. Written notification of a substitution must be received by 5:00PM EST on June 12, 2017 and will not incur any additional fees. No substitutions will be honored onsite. 

 

Group Registration: A new group registration discount is available for the 2017 Summit. Groups registering 5-9 individuals will be eligible to receive 10% off their overall registration payment. Groups registering 10 or more attendees will be eligible to receive 20% off their overall registration payment. All registrations must be submitted simultaneously to receive the discount. The discount DOES NOT APPLY to group add-ons at a later date. Group registrations may not be completed online. Attire and Photography Policy

 

Attire: It is important to be comfortable, so casual business attire is suggested for the concurrent sessions and special events. It is best to wear layers as session room temperatures tend to fluctuate.

 

Photography Policy: By attending the Annual Wellness and Recovery Summit, you acknowledge that photographs and/or videos of you may be taken by our conference staff and/or photographers at any time. Furthermore, you grant the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (PRA) permission to use photographs and/or video of your likeness in any type of media, including websites and print publications, without compensation or reward. 

 

Waiver: By attending wellness and fitness-related sessions at the 40th Annual Wellness and Recovery Summit, you acknowledge that certain injuries are possible and hereby voluntarily agree to release, waive, discharge, hold harmless, defend, and indemnify PRA/PRF and its representatives, employees, and volunteers from any and all claims.
