Criminal Law Section: Elder Abuse in Minnesota: Detection and Prosecution (live teleconference option available)*
This CLE will give participants an overview of what Elder Abuse looks like, the criminal laws that can be applied once detected, and the unique challenges that these cases pose. Case examples will be explored, which will include an overview of the most common crimes seen in this field. Handouts will be provided giving participants check-lists for evidence needed to prove the various elements in these cases as well as tools that can be provided to law enforcement in conducting an effective investigation.
