Insights into the Appellate Court Process

Presenters:  Hon. Natalie Hudson, Minnesota Court of Appeals; Hon. Michelle Larkin, Minnesota Court of Appeals
Moderator:  Tom Boyd., Esq., Winthrop & Weinstine

 

Hear a discussion from two judges from the Minnesota Court of Appeals about the appellate court process, moderated by Tom Boyd, of Winthrop & Weinstine. Judge Hudson and Judge Larkin will cover practical tips, and the benefits and value of brief writing and oral arguments.  They will review the opinion drafting process, including the structure and format of opinions, and they will address assignment of panels and panel preparation. There will be time for open discussion and questions from participants.

Time: 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
