This session will summarize recent changes to Minnesota’s Power of Attorney Statute that are designed to provide additional protections against financial exploitation of vulnerable adults, including examples of how this tool can be abused by attorneys-in-fact acting on behalf of vulnerable adults, as well as resources for attorneys to protect clients from this type of maltreatment.
