Employee Owned Devices in the Workplace: Legal & Technological Risks (includes live teleconference option)*
Thursday, December 20
This presentation will facilitate discussion on the latest trends of employee-owned devices in the workplace (also known as "BYOD," an acronym for "Bring Your Own Device"). Recent surveys reveal that many employers regard permitting employees to use personal devices for work purposes as a permissible means of increasing productivity and reducing the need for corporate equipment refreshes. This discussion will explore some of the known technological vulnerabilities, the threat landscape, and the potential impact that data leakage could have on legal liability, regulatory compliance, corporate goodwill, and reputation.
