Discovery files contain a wealth of information that can make a huge difference in the outcome of mediation and litigation. A thorough review of the tax returns and financial records of the parties can determine:
1. An established marital standard of living from which a realistic and fair budget can be prepared.
2. The existence of hidden assets.
3. Possible dissipation of marital assets.
4. A determination of marital and non-marital assets.
5. Spending levels which could indicate the existence of income or funds that haven’t previously been disclosed.
As a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst and former bank auditor, Kathy has the ability to analyze complex financial documents and find the red flag areas that can make the difference in the outcome of a case.
