Teens in the Library: Cultivating Engagement

Event Description

Join SEFLIN’S DYDG in welcoming Marlon Moore, MDPLS’s Library Media Project Coordinator as our new chair. Marlon has a long history of managing high profile projects that combine education, literacy, technology, and skill building for youth and adults. He has created curriculum, timelines and activities facilitating youth workshops in filmmaking, music production, graphic design, creative writing, college and career preparation workshops. Currently Marlon manages the Miami-Dade Public Library System’s new mobile computer lab called the Technobus, as well as two YOUmake Miami makerspaces and a Coworking Center. The Coworking Center assists entrepreneurs in creating start-ups and developing their business through workshops and networking events.  Marlon is currently engaged in developing AR & VR, S.T.E.A.M., coding, and computer programming activities for the public.

 

Marlon will present on Teens in the Library: Cultivating Engagement.
