Security in and with Collections in Libraries, Archives, and Museums (Live Online)

(GMT-5)

Event Description

Security is an important part of collections management. But many libraries, archives, and museums do not give it enough attention because theft and vandalism don’t happen, only to other institutions. Even when an agency has security procedures, they may not always follow them.

In this class we will address incorporating security into the mission of your institution and look at survey tools that can help you develop or review security procedures.

This class will be held in the Lyrasis Adobe Connect meeting room. Log-in information will be emailed approximately one week before the course.
