Time Management for Librarians (Live Online)

Apr 10, 2012 02:00pm -
Apr 10, 2012 04:00pm

Event Description

In this two-hour online class, learn strategies for effectively managing your time.

Today’s library worker is subjected to a constant barrage of seemingly vital information via e-mail, routed journals, lists, phone calls, meetings, and more. Job duties seem to multiply with each technical advance, while the nature of library work offers little chance to celebrate completed projects. Is it any wonder many of us feel overwhelmed?

Learning Outcomes

Students will learn:

  • How to incorporate long-range goals into your daily planning
  • The importance of setting aside uninterrupted time at work
  • The difference between important tasks and urgent ones
  • How to find a strategy that works for you
