Event Description

Supporting Survivors in Libraries
NEW DATE: Monday, June 15, 2020
10:00 am - 11:00 am EST

Sexual violence affects millions of Americans. As librarians and library workers, we have the opportunity to create interactions that are positive and healing for survivors of sexual and interpersonal violence. This webinar will explore the unique information needs of survivors and how we can support survivors, as both patrons and colleagues.

Participants will be able to:

  • Understand the unique information needs of survivors.
  • Identify some ways your library can support survivors, as both patrons and colleagues.
  • Consider ways to create positive, healing, interactions with survivors seeking library services.
