Is your library branding stuck in a rut? Does it seem like your presence in the community isn’t being heard loudly enough? Is it time to rethink how your library markets and brands itself in the community?

Join us as Hernando County Public Library’s (HCPL) Director of Libraries and Community Services, Adam Brooks, shares some strategies that may turn your library’s marketing and branding efforts around. HCPL was recognized as FLA’s 2013 Library of the Year in great part due to its significant growth in programming, partnership, outreach and marketing. Learn what HCPL did to create exponential growth of brand recognition in their community and online. Adam will share with us how these strategies and others can be implemented in your library – no matter the type or size. With ideas for every budget, this learning opportunity is sure to arm you with some great ideas to take into your community.

Presented by: Adam Brooks, Director of Libraries and Community Services- Hernando County Public Library
Adam Brooks began his library career as a reference librarian at the Collier County Public Library in Naples, FL. He then moved on to work as a Branch Manager of two locations for the Houston Public Library. Adam then served as Library Director of the Bell/Whittington Library in the city of Portland, TX. He is an active member of the American Library Association, the Public Library Association and the Texas and Florida Library Associations.
 
Adam’s background also includes experience as a Labor Market Analyst for the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 1999 and his Masters of Library and Information Science in 2001, both from Kent State University.
