eBooks: It’s Easier (Live Online)

Many find getting the wonderfully free library eBooks to an eReader or tablet is not easy. And as eBook usage continues to grow, changes and improvements to library offerings are also on the rise. Library staff may find it daunting to keep up to date on the latest functionality but will be happy to learn is now getting easier for library customers to download and read eBooks on their devices.

In this 90-minute webinar, learn how to take advantage of these latest functionality offerings and just how “it is easier”.  Learn the basic operation of popular eBook readers, tablets and portable devices and how to access and download library content.

This webinar will be delivered via SEFLIN Connect. Log-in information will be emailed approximately one week before the course.

Presented by Technology Petting Zoo Trainer Jan Johnson
Jan Rhees Johnson currently serves as Librarian, Technology and Information Services, for the Parkland Library and obtained her MLIS from the University of South Florida. She develops and presents the Library's technology instruction including the popular More Than Google program and she is chair of the SEFLIN Training Administrators Committee.  In addition to her library credentials, Jan is a diversified business professional with extensive experience in information technology, project management, business analysis, training, customer service, and merchandising.

Participation in this class can count toward the requirements for a certificate in the eBooks Training Track (SEFLIN members only).

Staff from Florida libraries may register for this workshop at no charge. Priority will be given to SEFLIN members. Non-members will be placed on a waiting list and added as space permits after the registration deadline.
