The ever-increasing popularity of the Internet has made librarians' participation in cataloging online resources crucial.
In this two-hour live online class, we'll introduce the cataloging process and use lecture, demonstration, discussion and hands-on practice to teach descriptive cataloging of resources born digital. Resources discussed will be those born digital such as websites, pdfs and others. Tips on searching for records in OCLC, copy cataloging, choosing the right format and cataloging policy issues are also covered.
This class will be held in the Lyrasis Adobe Connect meeting room. Log-in information will be emailed approximately one week before the course.
