The Library Volunteer series includes three one-hour webinars on recruiting, managing and retaining volunteers.
Part 2: Managing Volunteers in the Library
Your library recruited a new group of excited and motivated volunteers!!! Now, the next part of the journey begins…effective management. Do we treat them the same as staff members, or a little bit different? And, how exactly do we manage them….after all, they aren’t being paid?
This webinar answers those questions and looks at four critical areas in volunteer management:
1. Orientation and Training of volunteers (It’s NOT optional)
2. Building relationships with volunteers (We want them to be happy, right?)
3. Evaluating volunteers and volunteers evaluating us (It works both ways)
4. Assigning the “right” people to manage the volunteers (A decision to be taken quite seriously)
This webinar will be delivered via SEFLIN Connect. Log-in information will be emailed approximately one week before the course.
