Re-Discover the Florida Digital Newspaper Library!

This one hour presentation, offered by University of Florida librarians, will feature sections on: an overview of the process and need for converting microfilm to digital;  a history and survey of newly added papers from your region and across the state, 1870-1927; a tutorial on how to access these materials: searching, viewing results, saving images; and a question and answer session. Learn what's new with this valuable resource for librarians, teachers, historians, genealogists, and more.  The Library Services and Technology Act grant (Old News, New Readers: Making Florida Newspaper collections accessible through digitization and training) enabled the digitization of these new materials and the creation of this training session.
