So you've inherited a WordPress.com blog or site that someone else set up, and now you have to...update it. Or you have your own WordPress.com blog or site and a redesign is in order. This course will cover how to revise an existing WordPress.com blog or site to make it more visually attractive and accessible to your target audience.
In this workshop, we'll cover:
- ways to choose themes and customize them,
- ways to search for interesting images on the web,
- how to use site stats to find out which pages are most interesting to your audience,
- creating a mobile version of your site, and more!
This webinar will be delivered via SEFLIN Connect. Log-in information will be emailed approximately one week before the course.
Presented by: Sharon Austin
Sharon Austin currently works as a web applications specialist at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg Nelson Poynter Library. Her educational background includes degrees in Art and Technology; as such, she uses the knowledge from both degrees every day in developing websites. She has over a decade's worth of experience creating websites and teaching online, but never loses sight of the fact that the Internet is an information highway, critical to spreading knowledge. To that end, she is committed to developing websites that are accessible to those with disabilities, and available to those in low-income areas.
