We’re hearing a lot about introverts these days – some of it’s positive, some not so much. There are statistics floating around saying that about 25% - 35% of the general population are introverts…which means that a vast majority of people are extroverts.
Some informal studies show that as many as 70% of those working in the library field are introverts. That’s not really surprising, is it? Introverts like quiet (yes, libraries used to be quiet and many are still more quiet than other workplaces).
There are many myths surrounding the idea of being an introvert – they’re shy, rude, don’t like to go out in public, don’t like talking to people, don’t know how to have fun – lots of things that simply aren’t true for most introverts. These myths, however, can create negative feelings from others.
This 90-minute webinar is intended to help you really understand introverts, as well as appreciate all of the positive attributes they bring to your work environment.
Whether you’re an introvert yourself, you work with or for an introvert, or an introvert works for you, this session will give you a broader understanding of the many benefits of having introverts in our workplaces!
This webinar will be delivered via SEFLIN Connect. Log-in information will be emailed approximately one week before the course.
