Florida Library Network Statewide Ground Delivery Program

SEFLIN members and FLIN libraries in the SEFLIN region are eligible for a SEFLIN subsidy of the statewide interlibrary ground delivery service.  The subsidy is prorated based on the library's interlibrary loan activity. Libraries may add additional stops for a discounted price. This policy was approved by the SEFLIN Board of Directors on May 22, 2015.

This program provided pickup and delivery of approximately 875,000 interlibrary loan materials among over 200 libraries throughout Florida in 2014.  The program's objective is 48 hours delivery time between pickup at the lending library and delivery to the borrowing library for libraries with daily courier stops, and 72 hours delivery time between libraries receiving 3-day a week delivery.  Materials are tracked and handled carefully to avoid damage or loss.  The statewide interlibrary delivery system is for interlibrary loan materials (e.g. books, periodicals, media, or photocopies) only.
