Library Advocacy Standing Committee

Committee Description
  • The Committee will develop social media strategies to consistently promote the "Library Advocacy: As Easy as 1-2-3" website. These strategies should include: selection of social media platforms and development of tools to organize, publish, monitor and evaluate social media postings.
  • The Committee will develop scheduling system for maintaining and updating the "Library Advocacy: As Easy as 1-2-3" website. The Committee will actively promote the website and its messages, with the added support of SEFLIN.
  • The Committee will collaborate in promoting the “Our Library” advocacy messages to SEFLIN members and actively participate in contacting legislators using multiple formats, including at community events.
  • The Committee will stay informed about the Florida Library Association legislative priorities and the progress of library funding initiatives. The Committee will publicize progress, add local focus for messages, and issue calls for action.
