We continue to see increased activity in laws that restrict or prohibit gifts to public officials and employees, including President Trump’s executive order (“Ethics Commitments by Executive Branch Appointees”), which includes extensive provisions on gifts to covered appointees. This webinar will refresh your knowledge of gift compliance basics. Topics will include Congressional and federal executive branch gift rules, including discussions of valuing tickets to sporting events as well as rules around fact-finding trips and site visits. In addition, we will discuss commonly used gift exemptions and best practices for compliance.

WGR Registration Fees must be paid in advance and are non-refundable. You may substitute someone else at your membership level for your registration without penalty; however, membership benefits are non-transferable. If your replacement is not in your membership sector, you will be responsible for the difference in fees.
