Join WGR for our next regulatory lunch and learn for structured conversation looking at the significance of coalitions in regulatory advocacy work. Whether you’re new to regulatory affairs, been navigating the Federal Register without a guide or are an expert navigator of the regulatory flow chart this lunch and learn will have something for everyone. Collaborating with a coalition of external partners on can lend strength to your advocacy efforts but often raises its own set of challenges something our speakers can will have something help you along the way.

Speaker Katie Vlietstra Wonnenberg is Vice President for Government Relations and Public Affairs for National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE). NASE is a member organization of The Small Business Roundtable (SBR) a coalition of leading small business and entrepreneurship organizations, dedicated to advancing policy, securing access, and promoting inclusion to benefit the businesses at the heart of the American economy. An experienced WGR leader and government relations advocate she provide attendees a perspective on coalition building from the ground up and just what that can mean to your organizations advocacy work. Members will be able to engage in conversation sharing challenges and how to overcome them, as well as best practices and tips for working in a coalition.

Outcomes:

  • Develop a better understanding of the mechanics of setting up a new coalition and why you might want to.
  • Recognize the value of leveraging a coalition to raise the profile of an issue/set of issues on your organizations advocacy agenda.
  • Learn best practices and tips for working in a coalition (formal or informal) including how to balance competing interests, broaden your message and leverage the power of multiple organizations working together.

Payment, Replacement & Refund Policy
WGR event registration fees must be paid in advance. If you are unable to attend, you may send a substitute, however you are responsible for the difference in fees if the individual is a non-member. The deadline to receive a refund is three (3) business days prior to the event. The request must be received in writing, prior to the deadline.
