Event Description

Join the Personal and Professional Development Task Force for a Breakfast and Book-Signing with Dr. Anne-Marie Slaughter!

Dr. Slaughter’s 2012 article, “Why Women Still Can’t Have It All,” published in The Atlantic, became the most read article in the history of the magazine and helped spawn a national debate on the continued obstacles to genuine gender equality.  In her new book, Unfinished Business: Women, Men, Work, Family, Dr. Slaughter, President and CEO of the New America and former director of policy planning at the State Department and dean of Princeton’s Woodrow Wilson Center, makes a compelling case for gender equality in the workplace and for a balance of the personal and the professional in each working woman’s life.  Join WGR for a discussion with Dr. Slaughter about her policy career, research into work-family balance, and a call-to-action for all WGR members about how to balance their professional and personal lives.

Breakfast will be provided.

*Note: registration fee includes one copy of Unfinished Business, which can be signed by Dr. Slaughter at the end of the event.
