AAP’s Annual Meeting is designed for psychiatrists who are interested in learning about academic development, teaching psychiatry, and research on psychiatry education. The meeting is filled with interactive workshops designed to teach a wide array of academic topics. “How To” sessions teach academic and leadership development, use of technology in teaching, resident and faculty teacher development, and a host of other topics in resident and medical student education. The meeting is a wonderful way to interact with academic psychiatrists and psychiatry leaders in a casual and inviting setting filled with accessible workshops, informal sharing, and academic mentoring. It is an ideal venue for residents and fellows to develop an interest in education, junior faculty to launch an education-based career, and senior faculty to expand their skills and meet colleagues from across the country.

2017 AAP Annual Meeting CME Information 

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint providership of St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center and the Association for Academic Psychiatry. St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. 

St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center designates this live activity for a maximum of 22 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.  Physicians should claim only the credits commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

To obtain Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits, attendees are required to complete the online CME request form and overall meeting evaluation. Following the annual meeting, a link will be emailed to those who registered and paid for CME. If you did not pre-register for CME but would like to claim it, please stop by the AAP Registration Desk to register onsite. A $50 CME fee applies to those claiming CME for the Master Educator program and/or the AAP Annual Meeting. The online form will specify the number of credits one can claim for each day of the program.
