Chicago Consular Corps

The Chicago Consular Corps (CCC) is comprised of all career and honorary consular officials appointed by their respective governments to serve in metropolitan Chicago, and who are duly recognized by the United States Department of State. Since its founding, the CCC has united representatives from countries around the world, currently with over 80 countries represented and led by an Executive Committee of esteemed members.

Global Citizen Award

Each year the CCC presents a Global Citizen Award at the Consular Ball held in Chicago. In 2016, Chicago Sister Cities International and World Business Chicago once again hosted the annual Chicago Consular Corps Gala: A Tribute to Our Global Partners. The proceeds from this special event support the work of Chicago Sister Cities International and World Business Chicago and fund Chicago Consular Corps scholarships to the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Patricia A. Woertz, retired former CEO of Archer Daniels Midland, is the 2016 Global Citizen Award recipient, here with The Honorable Rahm Emanuel, Mayor of Chicago.
