This course is now full. We anticipate opening registration in September for additional courses which will begin in early 2022.

The Complexities of Complex Trauma Part I - Live Teleseminar Cross

Intended Participants: Licensed mental health professionals (psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, mental health counselors, accredited psychotherapists, etc.) who are interested in developing their skills in treating clients with chronic trauma related disorders. For Part I of the course, there is no need to have a client with a chronic trauma-related disorder.

Course Format: 6 sessions Teleseminar Format; 2.5 hour sessions each.

Richard Cross, UKCP has worked in the area of attachment & trauma for over 26 years. He currently works with children, adolescents and adults. His is a Registered and Accredited Psychotherapist & Child Psychotherapist and Hypnotherapist working in the United Kingdom. He undertook his first training through ISSTD in 2003 and have been a member since this time.

He currenlts manages a large specialist team of psychologists and therapists at Five Rivers Child Care which is a social enterprise in the UK supporting children and adolescents who are looked after within specialist residential and foster care.

He is also actively involved in research, development and innovation with the Anna Freud Centre and this project is exploring the effective early identification of trauma, attachment and dissociation difficulties and exploring what are the most effective interventions are.

He also ran a clinic for dissociative and trauma disorders in Glasgow, Scotland for adults for over 17 years. He is a trustee of The Bowlby Centre in London and seeks to advance the harnessing of relational psychotherapeutic approaches.
