Ruth Traugott, Governor

 

Ruth Traugott is the Industry Specialties Credit Risk Management executive for Bank of America. In this role, she is responsible for credit risk across a broad range of Global Corporate & Investment Banking and Global Corporate Credit & Transaction Banking industries in the United States and Canada including, Financial Institutions, Consumer, General Industries, Healthcare, Media, Retail, Leveraged Finance, Technology and Telecom. She is based in New York.

 

 

 

 

 

Ruth joined Bank of America in December 2014, and has been in the financial services industry for 25 years. Prior to her current role, Ruth was the U.S. and Canada Credit Risk Management executive for the bank, responsible for credit risk across a broad range of businesses and industries.

 

 

 

Before joining Bank of America, she spent five years in an executive role at Royal Bank of Scotland in London and was head of Financial Institutions, Structured Credit, Shipping and a team of large and midcap corporate bankers for RBS Global Restructuring Group.

 

 

 

She previously spent time in senior leadership roles in investment banking in London, New York, Paris and Brussels while working for J.P. Morgan.

 

 

 

Ruth graduated from UCLA with a bachelor’s degree in Russian languages and literature and holds a master’s in Business Administration from Columbia University. Ruth is on the board of Protimos, a charity providing legal aid for indigenous people’s rights in South Africa.
