10:30 - 12:00 / Find Your Hidden Hazards
Tyler Berding, Esq.
How do you identify a building hazard? Do you do regular walkthroughs and perform a "visual inspection" of the property? In older building, even trained eyes aren't enough. Learn why destructive testing is an essential part of your inspection toolkit, and where to focus your efforts.

1:20 - 2:40 / Disability Access Requests
John Gill, Esq. • Amy Tinetti, Esq.
As residents age in place, requests for special access due to disability are rising. How should the board prepare and respond?

3:00 - 4:20 / Election Rules

HOA elections are complicated. Learn everything you need to know to button up your elections process.

Hot Topics

9:00 - 10:10 / Legislative Update
John Garvic, Esq.
What's been happening in Sacramento, and what laws can you expect to see in 2017.

10:30 - 12:00 / The Art of Negotiation
Alan Crandall
Boards negotiate all the time, hashing out disagreements or plans with homeowners, contractors, and each other. An artful negotiator won't always get their way, but they will move their association forward while maintaining healthy, working relationships.

1:20 - 2:40 / Reserve Studies
Derek Eckert
A reserve study is the bedrock on which your HOA's financial plans are built. How do you make sure the information is accurate and use it effectively?

3:00 - 4:20 / Communications Software
TBA
Online tools make it easier for boards to communicate with members, track progress on payments or compliance, and more. How can boars safely incorporate modern tools to improve association life?
