Event Description

About

Back in 2017: Join us for an evening Seminar in San Francisco at the Fort Mason Center. This event is free for pre-registered ECHO HOA members, and offers great instruction from some of the industry's top experts and attorneys.

Agenda

What Attorneys Wish Board Members Knew
Steve Weil, Esq.
It's no secret that California HOA law is immense: pages of complicated statutes that can trip up boards at every turn. But not every problem requires a complicated legal solution. This session focuses on a few practical tips - "wiggle room" - for board members who need practical solutions.

HOA Fraud
Geri Kennedy • David Levy, CPA
Fraud happens all the time. And it usually starts in unexpected places: trusted employees or fellow board members. This session will teach you how to recognize potential fraud and to set up banking and financial practices that protect the association.

Attendance Policy

Attendance at this ECHO event is limited to residents of homeowners associations. Professionals who serve the homeowner association industry may not attend unless they are an employee of an event sponsor.
