Summit attendees have the opportunity to take part in a tour of the Atlas Tube manufacturing mill on Wednesday afternoon to see how Hollow Structural Sections are made. Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, manufactures a wide range of steel tubular products and is the leading provider of hollow structural sections (HSS) in North America.
Round trip bus transportation will be provided for tour participants, and pre-registration is required. The option to add the tour to your Summit registration is available in the online registration process. If you intend to drive, please contact the NCSEA office. There is free but limited parking at the facility.
The tour will depart at 12:30 p.m., and will return by 3:30 p.m. It will include:
Participants must wear long pants (dress pants are not recommended), and closed-toed shoes (no sandals or high heels). Other PPE (hard hats, safety goggles, safety vest and ear protection) will be provided at the plant and must be worn at all times while on the tour. If you have your own PPE, feel free to bring them. There will be no photographs or videos allowed while on the tour.
