With the aim of identifying, connecting, and amplifying others doing this work, members of the original coalition have come together to develop another dialogue titled “Power Shifting and Advancing Equity in Research Collaborations”. This half-day conversation will take place on Wednesday April 12th, 2023 from 1 – 5pm in New Orleans, Louisiana before the start of the Population Association of America’s annual meeting.
We hope to encourage participants to engage confidently in conversations about decolonizing knowledge. The session will begin with a reflection on the conversations already happening in these spaces and then explore successes and challenges in centering individuals and communities within research collaborations. The Research Fairness Initiative and the World Conference on Research Integrity’s position paper are providing roadmaps for this effort.
