(Event: 2014 AMTA Conference - Pursue Your Passion for Music Therapy)

Nov 06, 2014 1:30 pm - Nov 06, 2014 6:30 pm
Session Type: CMTE Course
Track: CMTE Course

This CMTE will provide participants with an array of musical resources, accessible experiences in clinical improvisation, and practical techniques in the flexible use of clinical compositions. Instructors create a supportive learning environment in which participants can renew their relationship to music and apply the self-learning to clinical work with a range of clients. Excerpts will illustrate the use of musical interventions with the many populations served at the Nordoff-Robbins Center for Music Therapy in New York City. (The CMTE serves as an experiential companion to the new self-study CMTE course “Introduction to Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy,” TBA)
