2017 Master Educator Program (Limited Attendance)
This three-year series of educational workshops provides psychiatric educators the additional skills needed to be effective leaders in health professional education in psychiatry.
Previous have included: learner assessment, educational methods, program evaluation, leading through crisis, negotiations, education theory, leading change, scholarship, and learning theory.
This year’s meeting will include the fifteenth installment of the Master Educator program, featuring sessions on (1) Creativity and Teaching; and (2) Student Assessment.
If you have previously attended, this is your opportunity to accumulate more hours toward your Master Educator certificate. For those of you who have never attended, this is your opportunity to enroll in a “mini-masters” in education and develop your core knowledge and skills in essential subject areas for educators. The series is split into two 3-hour afternoon sessions. Anyone who is interested is welcome to preregister for this program, even if you have not come to the sessions in previous years.
People signing up for the master educator courses during a particular meeting are expected to attend both of the master educator sessions offered during the Annual Meeting.
