4th and 5th level autonomous vehicles will be ready for the roads in 3 to 5 years, leading to a disruptive and transformational period for the world’s transportation systems. But will the roads be ready for them? With new infrastructure being developed and new traffic flows designed, what will this mean for driving behavior, automotive design, and the impact on other arenas such as retail, oil and gas, media, law enforcement, and many others? How will today’s automotive companies define their businesses and business models tomorrow?
