Michael Hayter LCSW, CSAC, SAP
Michael Hayter LCSW, CSAC, SAP is the owner clinician of a private practice therapy program with offices in Abingdon and Marion, Virginia. With extensive experience in public mental health and substance abuse services Michael currently focuses upon his private clinical practice working with clients affected by mental health and substance abuse issues. He has peer reviewed publications in the NASW specialty practice section of Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs (ATOD) section and other professional publications as well as serving as a past board member of the ATOD specialty practice section. He has experience presenting on substance usage disorders as well as outreach participation with various community organizations and boards of directors in the State and the Southwest Virginia region.
Stacy Gill LCSW
Stacy Gill earned a BSW from Wester Chester University in Wester Chester Pennsylvania in 1984 and an MSW from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond VA in 1987. She became an LCSW in 1991. Currently Stacy is the Assistant Commissioner for Community Behavioral Health Services at the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services. She began working for DBHDS on May 1, 2015 following 18 months as Clinical Director with Magellan of Virginia, the Behavioral Health Services Administrator for the Department of Medical Assistance Services. Stacy gained clinical, management, and leadership experience during the 26 years she worked in the Virginia Community Services Board system. During her time with Portsmouth, District 19, and Henrico CSBs she served in a number of different capacities including Case Manager, Crisis and outpatient therapist, Clinical Case Management supervisor, PACT team leader, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Clinical Supervisor, and Manager of Adult Outpatient MH and SUD Services, Jail MH and SUD Services, and Court Evaluation Services. Stacy also taught in the Virginia Commonwealth University BSW and MSW programs for over a decade and had a private practice for five years in the Richmond area.
Originally from Pennsylvania, she moved to Virginia in 1984 and has made the state her home since then. She is married with a blended family including five children, two dogs, and a soon to be born grandson. She can be found outside of work spending time with friends and family, reading, watching movies, or working on home improvement projects.
