Frances M. Christian, PhD, LCSW provides psychotherapy services to individuals, couples and families as a private practitioner. She is the former Director of Clinical Social Work and Co-Director of the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Department of Psychiatry Anxiety Disorders Specialty Clinic. Currently, Dr. Christian is an external Clinical Professor for the VCU Department of Psychiatry supervising psychiatry residents in cognitive – behavioral therapy. Also, she is a past Chairman of the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Health Professions, Board of Social Work. Additionally, she is an active member of the Association of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies (ABCT), NASW, and NABSW. She has a special interest in working with trauma survivors.
