SEFLIN Launches new Digital Services
SEFLIN is excited to introduce a new branch of services to our members centered around the developing topic of digitization. The goal of these services is to connect SEFLIN member institutions with the expertise, tools, support, and training to ensure the success of libraries through the 21st century. Check out our new Digital Services tab.
As part of this launch, SEFLIN is also proud to present three inaugural digitization resources: the SEFLIN Digital Directory, a list of regional digitization experience as well as resources; the SEFLIN Digitization Resource Guide, which collects valuable digitization guidelines and information resources; and the Digitization Toolkit, a mobile digitization lab available for use by SEFLIN member institutions.

FLA Award Nominations now open
It's that time again! Nominate yourself, a colleague, or your library for an FLA Award!
The Florida Library Association honors outstanding libraries, individuals, businesses, and library supporters during its annual conference. This year, at the request of the FLA Board, the Awards Committee created rubrics for each award. While the committee will use the rubrics to decide on a winner for each award, the rubrics also provide information to nominees on exactly what the committee is looking for. Nominees are also encouraged to provide supporting documentation with their award nominations; documentation can include letters of support, newspaper articles, flyers, etc.
Visit http://www.flalib.org/fla-awards-descriptions to learn more! The deadline for submitting the online award nomination form and emailing all supporting documentation is March 13, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. Awards will be presented at the 2017 FLA Conference in Orlando
Email Regina Burgess at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.

SEFLIN is proud to present the Florida Public Library Data Dashboard
SEFLIN is proud to present a useful comparison tool for Florida's public libraries. This tool, which uses data collected in the annual Public Library Survey administered by the Institute for Museum and Library Services, compares reported values for things like service area population, collection materials, circulation statistics, program attendence, and fiscal statistics. We hope this tool is useful for librarians looking to develop programming, or those engaging in strategic planning, but look forward to seeing how this tool is used by others!
Please visit the SEFLIN Data Dashboard here.
