About the Editors:
William Oh, MD. Dr. Oh is a renowned leader in the field of neonatology both as a clinician and researcher. Since 1974 he has held the position of pediatrician-in-chief of Women & Infants Hospital and professor of pediatrics and obstetrics at Brown University, where he was appointed chairman of the Department of Pediatrics in 1989. He has published more than 450 papers in peer reviewed journals and many chapters in neonatal text books as well as editing three text books in neonatal medicine. Dr. Oh is a leading figure in the NICHD Neonatal Research Network and received numerous major awards and honors, including the Apgar Award of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Legend of Neonatology award.
Michel Baum, MD. Dr. Baum is a pediatrician and nephrologist whose research area focuses on renal tubular transport during development as well as other areas of fetal/neonatal/pediatric nephrology. He is a Professor of Pediatrics and Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in Texas, including Children's Medical Center Dallas and Parkland Health and Hospital System-Dallas. He received his medical degree from David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and has been in practice for more than 20 years. His research is funded by the National Institutes of Health and he has contributed to more than 150 publications.
