ICD-10 Troubleshooting is a dynamic presentation composed of real life question and answer scenarios (Inpatient and Outpatient) submitted by coders and answered by a team of AHIMA Approved ICD-10 Trainers. This presentation will include diagnosis and procedure coding tips for areas challenging to coding professionals including key concepts and definitions related to ICD-10 CM/PCS.
The coding professional will be presented with real life questions/scenarios and an explanation of the processes used to arrive at recommended codes will be provided. Brief illustrations and information designed to assist the coding professional apply and expand knowledge of Anatomy & Physiology used to assign specific codes will be included. Information on knowledge gaps that that have been encountered within ICD 10 CM/PCS since implementation, as well as identified gaps in documentation and CDI opportunities will be reviewed.
