This webinar will outline the steps to designing and implementing a CDI program that supports and tracks the impact on Severity of Illness (SOI)/Risk of Mortality (ROI). We will explore the approach of one multi-facility’s CDI program addressing the growing need for hospitals to decrease ROM, increase quality scores and decrease RAC denials. The primary focus of this conversation is to explore the educational needs for the CDI team and determine how they can be of assistance without disrupting productivity.
The webinar address each one of the three components; ROM, Quality, and RAC denials. Participants will gain an understanding of:
- How the CDI professional can participate to increase the stability of the hospital
- The impact on productivity
- How to track CDI impact in the areas SOI/ROM, Quality, and RAC denials
- The need to increase communication between CDI and Quality professionals
- How the teams are trained
- Physician responses to the efforts of the CDI team
